In the segment of gun accessories, the American brand Magpul is both a big name and a benchmark. Magpul weapon accessories are able to withstand not only laboratory conditions, but also – and above all – the real-life ones.

Magpul was founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1999, approximately a quarter of a century ago. It was created by Richard M. Fitzpatrick. During its existence, however, the manufacturer moved its headquarters to Texas, primarily due to legislation – the state of Colorado prohibited the use of extended weapon magazines with a higher capacity.

Today, Magpul primarily designs and manufactures polymer and composite weapon accessories and extras (such as M-LOK) from high-tech materials. The Magpul company name is an abbreviation of the English name of the first product that the company introduced in 1999. It was a magazine puller for STANAG magazines, which facilitates the extraction of magazines from its transport cases.

Magpul gradually grew from a garage company to a respected military supplier. The first official delivery for the armed forces came in 2002 from the US Marines. In 2006, Magpul gets its first official NATO Stock Number and its products are seen in the movie Mission: Impossible III.
